Client name: GMS
Problem/project:
GMS would like to web enable the AMS 3.0, a
Customer Service Management software that handles all components of
the service calls, from the call centres and dispatching it to
mobile service. The current application is written using 3-tier
architecture. The interface is written using Visual C++ and the
application server is written using Java. The application server
connects to a SAP or other database systems. The communication from
server to client is built using CORBA , and the working clients are
in call centres. The AMS 3.0 current version also support mobile
clients for technicians. Some of the AMS distinguished customers are
Miele , Quelle and Neckermann .
Solution/Benefits:
received by the client: To achieve GMS goals,
NileSoft used Java Server Pages (JSP) and Servlets technologies.
These technologies are used not only to WEB enable the AMS 3.0 but
also to make this WEB application highly customisable (for
programmer) and personalisable (for end-users). The customisation
and personalisation issues here are two fold, layout customisation
and workflow customisation
